Signs are everywhere

I haven’t heard this song for ages and while I was preparing myself to work earlier last night, I heard it over the radio and it made me emotional for a bit. I have a special memory of this song since this was my mum and dad’s theme song when my mum was working in the US back in the days. It became more special to me when Darren sent me an mp3 on this a few months back. I just love this song and even if this was released ages ago, it still has an effect on me.

Why oh why?

Why is it that when things are doing so great with your life you suddenly feel scared that something could go wrong and get paranoid by how good life has suddenly become?

I woke up feeling so down and sad tonight. I don’t know why. I have all the reasons in the world to be happy but I felt like crying and wailing.

This last weekend was FUN, FUN, FUN!

I was finally able to catch up with some fun and time in the sun and beach with my friends whom I have been missing for far too long now. I had a short holiday from work for the weekend and now I’m dragging myself back to work again.

We were suppose to go to this island next to Cebu but decided not to since the weather isn’t so good and that we have very limited time and no planning at all done due to hectic sked the week before. Nevertheless, we had so much fun and my proof will be posted in my next entry as I don’t have them available for now.

I miss you all guys and thanks for understanding my already long holiday from writing but it won’t be long before you’ll see more of me here around again, promise! Rest assured I am catching up on your entries and am diligently reading them when I have the time.

Movies not to miss…

I’ve discovered that Brit comedy is fantastic and very witty. Thanks to my boyfie for introducing me to it and to cable television too. I first discovered it when I was in the UK last year and got glued to Little Britain and Daffyd became so popular at home and Vicky Pollard has become a typical joke among friends back here when I introduced it to them. There’s Keeping Up Appearances that my mum loves to watch every Sunday afternoon. There’s Three Pints and a Lager, 8 out of 10 cats(?), Green Wing, and the very weird aussie comedy Kath and Kim.

First entry of 2006

As you might have guessed correctly by now, I’m at work during New Year’s Eve taking in calls while the rest of the countries in the GMT +8 timezone are already popping out corks from their champagnes and enjoying fireworks on their terraces and welcoming the new year. I shouldn’t be complaining since I don’t have a family to spend it here with anyway if I didn’t have work. Work is an excuse not to celebrate it and just welcome the year without much fuzz.

2005 has been a very good year for me. Major decisions were made last year and brought about great changes in my life too. It was in 2005 that I left my job that I loved for four years and has rewarded me so much when it comes to my professional life. My former boss was a bit shocked when I told her. I told her the reason for my resignation and she understood.

2005 was also the year where I had my first travel outside the country. I was very pleased because my first trip is on Europe and it has always been my fave continent. I was travelling with my brothers and we had so much fun. We had a great time during our stay in the UK. We’ve been to several places and experienced a lot of things while we were there.

2005 was a special year for my lovelife. It was that year that I’ve met the man that I thought I could never have no matter what I do. It was that year that I’ve met the one person that made me whole again and made me believe in myself. It was that year that I’ve met my soulmate and bestfriend. It was that year that I’ve met the love of my life, Darren Anthony Reardon! It was that year that he made me the happiest man.

2005 is the best year yet and I know 2006 promises to be even greater!

My spirits are lifted today when I learned I got another perfect 10 score for Customer Satisfaction at work! This is the third time already this month and as of today, I’m the only one with 3 Perfect 10! Wow! That lifted my mood after a bad news from my mum earlier today.

I got my boyfie scared today when I told him about the call but I am glad we were able to talk while I am escalating a call. The cue to the escalation desk is super long and I was on cue for more than 30 minutes so that gave me ample time to talk to my boyfie on YM and we were able to resolve our issue finally and I can sigh in relief now.

Tonight is our Christmas Party and the them is “white” but we have work tonight so I guess no white party for me. *sniff*

It may be a while before I can update again with my erratic sked and ungodly work so I just want to greet everyone HAPPY HOLIDAYS to everyone!!! Special mention to the people who will be having double celebration this month– skewerbiatch and criosdan will be having their birthday parties on the 24th and 25th respectively so don’t forgive to give them a shout out!
